Specialist fit out contractor Overbury wanted its new Glasgow office to be an expression of its brand. The brief to C2 was to create a spectacular and highly visible collaboration space – for staff, clients and design team colleagues – along with a variety of other formal and informal work settings. Visitors walk straight into the collaboration space, which features a large shared table and TV screens displaying images of Overbury projects.

An exposed concrete soffit and services, largely black and grey finishes and a top-of-the-range digitally controlled coffee machine create a high tech, industrial look in the collaboration and formal workspaces. But domestic-style suspended light fittings and parquet-effect flooring create a softer feel in the break out areas. Yellow and blue colour accents throughout the 1,930sq ft space add further visual interest.

The bespoke furniture and kitchen units – made by Overbury’s own joinery shop – and the glazed high-performance acoustic partition system showcase the company’s workmanship.
