Ellis Whittam – an employment law and HR consultancy ­– was founded in 2004 and works with clients throughout the UK. It set up its Glasgow office in 2017 during a period of rapid expansion.

The firm is proud of the close, long-term relationships it builds with its clients. The new office needed to support the process of relationship-building – providing a range of formal and relaxed meeting spaces ­– while reflecting Ellis Whittam’s values of openness and honesty.

The reception, office areas and meeting rooms have a cool, neutral colour palette with bright red accents defining the various spaces. In contrast, the warm tones and varied textures of the informal meeting areas create a laid back feeling – and an invitation to staff and visitors to sit down and talk.

The project was shortlisted for the 2018 British Council for Offices awards in the projects in Scotland up to 1,500sq m category.
